In the book 451 the ideas of Addictiveness and Manipulation tool is used for the tv or the Palour. These two ideas are used because of two reasons the palour has Montags wife hooked on its simlar to a drug, she has to play and since shes hooked on to it shes not really aware of the outside world. This then leads to a multude of things such as the Hound being amazing at everytrhing is does when we know its not because Montag escapes. Futhermore if we look at the drug addiciton its huge because montags wife had her stomick pumped and she doesn’t now about it and the crew came which means it’s a regular happening. So I can infer that the government wants people to overdoes,hence they have made a crew to fix it. b
